Cala Galdana

Descripción general

Serpentona es la zona urbanizada entre elevados acantilados y pinares de pino blanco, junto a la playa de Cala Galdana.

El pequeño afluente que desemboca junto a la playa, separa Serpentona de Cala Galdana, la primera pertenece al municipio de Ciutadella,  y la segunda al municipio de Ferreries.

Su entorno de bosque mediterráneo ofrece opciones de senderismo o cicloturismo siguiendo la costa hacia las calas vírgenes cercanas o siguiendo el afluente hacia el interior del Barranc d’Algendar.

La cantidad de alojamientos turísticos de la zona dan la opción de ubicarse en un buen punto de partida a cualquier turista. Además de la belleza panorámica que ofrecen sus miradores, la calidad en la oferta gastronómica y variedad de servicios en turismo activo, la convierten en la zona ideal para ser visitada.

Accesos

Acceso rodado. Desde Ciutadella por la carretera general (Me-1) una vez llegados al municipio de Ferreries hay que tomar la salida a la derecha (Me-22) a unos 8km llegamos a nuestro destino.

Servicios

En verano esta zona dispone de servicios abiertos diariamente, como restaurantes, supermercados, alojamientos, alquiler de vehículos, comercios, consulta médica y farmacia

Accesibilidad

La playa de Cala Galdana está adaptada para personas con movilidad reducida, en verano hay servicio de monitor y silla anfibia.

General description

Serpentona is an urbanised area located between soaring cliffs and white pine trees by the beach at Cala Galdana.
A small tributary that flows beside the beach separates Serpentona from Cala Galdana, the former belonging to the municipality of Ciutadella and the latter to the municipality of Ferreries.
Its Mediterranean forest environment offers hiking or cycling tourism options, where you can follow the coast towards the nearby unspoiled coves or walk by the actual tributary towards the interior of the Barranc d’Algendar ravine.

The amount of tourist accommodation in the area gives tourists the option of being located in a great starting point. In addition to stunning panoramic views from its lookout points, the general quality of the cuisine available, plus a variety of active tourism services, make it the perfect area to stay.

Access

Access from Ciutadella on the main road (Me-1). On reaching the district of Ferreries, turn right onto the (Me-22) and it is about 8 km further on.

Services

In the summer there are plenty of services open daily, such as restaurants, supermarkets, accommodation, car and bike rental, shops, a medical centre and chemist’s.

Accessibility

Cala Galdana beach is adapted for people with reduced mobility, with an amphibious chair and instructor available in the summer.
